A recent study in the Journal of Physiology has further concluded that the amazing and powerful antioxidant Resveratrol improves exercise performance, heart function, and muscle strength. And if that wasn’t enough, the study also showed significant benefits in energy metabolism. What does all this mean? It means Resveratrol is a nutrient that has far reaching benefits in health and wellness and should be taken daily for those seeking great health.
The nutrient, so closely linked to the consumption of red wine and grapes, has been on the tip of most nutraceutical researchers since a team from Harvard in 2003 found that it increased the life of yeast cells. From there, researchers began to find that Resveratrol was able to actually penetrate the cell and further strengthen the areas that lead to energy production (metabolism) and provide protective benefits against damaging free radicals.
This new research is groundbreaking because one of the issues with increased activities and exercise is the further damage of cells and tissues caused by the increase production of toxic metabolites. Those individuals that are sensitive to these toxins, specifically those who are undergoing dramatic weight loss or have other health-related issues, could be susceptible to further breakdown. However, with daily intake of Resveratrol, using high-quality ingredients, research has shown that it can be incredibly protective in areas from the heart to the head!
Until next week,
Best Wishes for Ultimate Health and Majestic Dreams!
Helping YOU Live Younger, Longer!
“Resolve Today to Make the Best Use of Tomorrow”
We’re All A Twitter!
If you are plugged in to social media, then you’ve probably come across Youngevity! We’ve got a great social community developing through various outlets including Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. Some of you are plugged in to those communities and some of you are rolling your eyes right now!
For those of you who are plugged in…
I’m so glad you are! We are having a tremendous amount of fun interacting with you and we want you to LIKE and SHARE the posts you see with other people. Here is one reason why… I have a friend who I’ve known for 20-something years (yes, we were in pre-school together, ha! ha!) and she has been my Facebook friend for at least 3 years. After seeing all of our recent activity (BTT Posts, Chocolate Friday, etc.), she recently reached out to me and asked about Youngevity. She said “I don’t know everything you have at Youngevity but I’m sure you have something for me! How can I join?” Now, let me ask you folks, when was the last time someone came to YOU and asked YOU if they could join YOU? That is the power of social media! So, please continue to help us spread the Youngevity message far and wide!
For those of you who are rolling your eyes…
I know, I know… you are tired of hearing all the chatter about Facebook and you don’t Tweet! Here is the scoop… Facebook has over 900 million active users, so it’s not going away anytime soon. Why not enlist the assistance of one of your friends or family members and ask them to help you learn more about it. It’s not as intimidating as you might think and if you are in the business of sharing information about health (or wealth) – this is a great platform for doing so. To set up a Facebook account go to www.Facebook.com and for Twitter go to www.Twitter.com. Once you have a Twitter account, search for me (VanessaHunter – no space) and I’ll connect with you! You’ll also want to plug in to www.Facebook.com/Youngevity and www.Twitter.com/Youngevity.
Remember this… having a Facebook or Twitter account doesn’t mean you are obligated to do anything with it. I’m just asking you to try it and see how it feels to be that much more connected with an entire community of like-minded people. Let’s start there and we’ll explore Pinterest and Instagram next week!
