Resveratrol Has Done it Again!A recent study in the Journal of Physiology has further concluded that the amazing and powerful antioxidant Resveratrol improves exercise performance, heart function, and muscle strength. And if that wasn’t enough, the study also showed significant benefits in energy metabolism. What does all this mean? It means Resveratrol is a nutrient that has far reaching benefits in health and wellness and should be taken daily for those seeking great health. The nutrient, so closely linked to the consumption of red wine and grapes, has been on the tip of most nutraceutical researchers since a team from Harvard in 2003 found that it increased the life of yeast cells. From there, researchers began to find that Resveratrol was able to actually penetrate the cell and further strengthen the areas that lead to energy production (metabolism) and provide protective benefits against damaging free radicals. This new research is groundbreaking because one of the issues with increased activities and exercise is the further damage of cells and tissues caused by the increase production of toxic metabolites. Those individuals that are sensitive to these toxins, specifically those who are undergoing dramatic weight loss or have other health-related issues, could be susceptible to further breakdown. However, with daily intake of Resveratrol, using high-quality ingredients, research has shown that it can be incredibly protective in areas from the heart to the head!
