What To Do When They’re Not On Board

One of the challenges of starting your own network marketing business is being prepared to deal with doubters. As you’re prospecting, you’ll inevitably encounter people who at first say they’re ready for success—only to make excuses later.

Don’t be surprised if some of your closest friends or relatives—or even your spouse or significant other—aren’t initially on board. Rather than support you, they’ll try to discourage you. You’ll probably hear stories of people who tried other businesses and failed, and hear all kinds of reasons why working network marketing doesn’t work or is not a legitimate career.

As you encounter the doubters, skeptics and naysayers, always remember that the only person you need the approval of is YOU. There have been many cases where a spouse or significant other was skeptical at first, only to become an equal partner in a very successful Youngevity business. Another thing to remember: DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY. Even though it may be hard to do, give these well-intentioned folks a smile, thank them for their input, strengthen your resolve, stay focused, and move forward. Not everyone is willing to what you are willing to do to succeed. Realize that these encounters are inevitable as you make your way toward financial freedom and success.
