Fruit, Vegetable Extracts Could Boost Immunity
Phytonutrients from fruits and vegetables, delivered as a Dietary Supplement, boosted the immune system of healthy adults, as well as protecting against DNA damage, says a new study from the US.
Many consumers are failing to meet the target of five portions of fruits and vegetables every day, with recent studies showing that the average consumption of people in developed countries being just three portions a day. The recommended portions of fruits and vegetable were recently increased to nine portions per day, even though people were failing to meet the previously lower guidelines.
The new research, published in the October issue of the Journal of Nutrition (vol. 136, pp. 2606-2610), suggests that adding a phytonutrient-rich capsule to the diet may provide a convenient way of benefiting from these nutrients particularly for immune health.
"We hypothesized that a commercially available encapsulated fruit and vegetable juice powder concentrate (FVJC) could support functional indices of health due to increased intake of various phytonutrients," said the lead author Meri Nantz from the University of Florida.

Week's Conference Call
Conference Calls Schedule
Many thanks to last week's Conference Call speaker; Dr. Sensenig, who discussed cardiovascular health, essential fatty acids, and good health practices for your children during the cold and flu season. Dr. Sensenig spoke about sensible health and supplementation, discussing products that support a child's immune system during cold season. While it's best to keep in mind that washing hands and not sharing drinks will keep common colds and the flu at bay, building the immune system with vitamins and minerals is an integral step in germ resistance! Thank you as well to Howard Bickle who joined the call to offer his thoughts on the connection between selenium, its benefits and the supportive correlation with the prostate.
SupraLife Network's® Kid's Toddy™ is a specially formulated full spectrum supplement that helps support your child's immune system. With Vitamins A, C, D, E and B-Complex, Kid's Toddy™ is a tasty way to keep your growing child healthy and happy.
Ancient Legacy's™ Vita Kid™ is a blend of vitamins C, E, A, B and D, enhanced with 62 minerals. It promotes general health support designed with children in mind. Youngevity's® Majestic Earth® Sport's Tech™ is an all-natural dietary supplement designed to replenish important nutrients lost during work and play. Sport's Tech™ is a specially formulated plant derived liquid mineral supplement for individuals who expend extra amounts of energy.
Howard Bickle spoke about selenium and recent studies that present its support of a healthful prostate. Many studies, including one from the University of Arizona, have shown that daily selenium supplements cut the rate of prostate cancer by more than half. Because selenium boosts the body's antioxidant capacity, scientists believe that it can control cell damage that may lead to cancer.
Dr. Kyl Smith, DC, a noted researcher, inventor, lecturer, and scientist will be our featured speaker this evening. Dr. Kyl recently finished a book, Brighter Mind and will discuss his philosophy and research in the area of cognitive development and achieving maximum brain performance at every age! Angela and Ted Soriano will also join the call to elaborate on how you can document your progress with Slender Fx™ with a new tool offered by Wellness Publications!
Be sure to join us this and every Thursday evening at 5:00 PM Pacific, followed by The Leadership Training Call with Sandy Elsberg at 6:00 PM Pacific.

Very Encouraging Statistics
I was just reading some very encouraging statistics that I find to be quite exciting, take a look:
- Direct selling has grown every single year for the past 20 years, nearly doubling in the past 10 years alone.
- Annual sales have hit $30 billion in the US and $100 billion worldwide.
- Every week 175,000 Americans join the ranks of direct sellers; 300,000 worldwide.
-There are 13.6 million direct sellers in the US and 49 million worldwide.
Direct Selling continues to grow because word-of-mouth advertising works. It is no surprise then, that recent Direct Selling Association surveys also show that an increasing percentage of Americans (55 percent) have purchased goods or services through direct sales a higher percentage than sales online or through television shopping.
So, let's talk about a few ways to help you be more successful!
First, get prepared and get organized. Set aside 2 - 4 hours to clean up, clean out and get ready. Get rid of the clutter and junk that is slowing you down. Did you know that having clutter around slows you down, even if you don't think so, because you are psychologically aware of it and it is eating into your productive time?
I know this because I see the difference in my effectiveness when my desk is clear, files are where they go and I am ready to do business in every way possible.
Second, decide the top methods you are going to use for building your business and then determine what tools you'll need to be effective. Get those tools TODAY! Yes, TODAY, don't wait!
Third, get focused and begin to take action right now, and continue this every day for the next 90 days. Don't look up, don't look sideways and don't look back! You are forward focused and looking straight ahead. Set a course and follow it religiously for 90 days. At the end of that time, you can evaluate and make changes if necessary. Evaluating too soon will not give you accurate results.
Finally, set your goals and expect to meet/reach them. Belief and enthusiasm toward your goal is what inspires you to action. And, inspired action is the most effective kind. Why? Because it comes from your true, inner drive and when we are inspired to take action, we are not taking action because we feel we have to. We are taking action because we WANT to.
Get rid of the clutter, get the tools you need, and get focused. With these few components, there will be no stopping you!
