Mike Glenn .: Mike Glenn Chairman of the Athletic Advisory Board :.

Mike “Stinger” Glenn, a former NBA basketball player who played with the Buffalo Braves, the New York Knicks, The Atlanta Hawks and the Milwaukee Bucks, gives you a multi-dimensional view of what really makes them successful human beings in his insightful book, Lessons in Success from the NBA’s Top Players.

After completing four years at Southern Illinois University, Mike received a BA in mathematics with a minor in computer science. He then attended graduate business classes at St. John’s University, Southern Illinois University and Baruch College. From 1977 to 1987, he worked as a professional basketball player for the National Basketball Association.

Another of Mike’s passions is his All-Star Basketball Camp for the Hearing-Impaired which celebrated their 25th Anniversary, June 25th, 2004. This non-profit organization is the Nation’s first basketball camp for hearing-challenged athletes and is offered every summer free of charge to as many as 150 deaf athletes across the country.

Mike Glenn is the recipient of numerous awards including: #1 Vote for Academic All-American Basketball Player, NBA Walter P. Kennedy Citizenship Award, NBA “Spirit of Love” Award, & Gate City Par Association Professional Athlete Award. Some of the organizations Mike is affiliated with include the Board of Advisory for Auditory Education Clinic, The Deaf Awareness Committee, Chairman; Board of Directors, Georgia Registry of Interpreters for Deaf, Leadership Atlanta, Class of 1988-89, Board of Directors, South Dekalb YMCA, Atlanta, Georgia and Editorial Board, Teen Athlete Magazine.

As a renowned speaker, Mike has participated in youth programs such as the Atlanta based “Stop the Violence” campaign and drug-awareness seminars in high schools across the Southeast. He has also served as the Master of Ceremonies for the Miss Junior Black America Pageant in September, 1989.

Dr. Joel Wallach BS DVM ND .: Dr. Joel Wallach BS DVM ND :.

Dr. Wallach has been involved in Bio-medical research for over forty years, receiving his Bachelors of Science degree in 1962 from the University of Missouri. His major was in Animal Husbandry (Nutrition) and his minor was in Field Crops and Soil. Dr. Wallach received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1964 from the University of Missouri. He has written more than 70 scientific papers, as well as six books including “Diseases of Exotic Animals” (a 1200 page Veterinary text book). Dr. Wallach also received his ND degree (Naturopathic Medicine) in 1982 and he has been licensed in Oregon for more than twenty years.

Dr. Wallach has worked for many Zoos and Universities across the country and he even worked with Mutual of Omaha’s Marlin Perkins at the St. Louis Zoo.

Dr. Wallach achieved the prestigious Rank of Eagle Scout as a Boy Scout and Dr. Wallach still supports the Boy Scouts today and he established and supported a local Cub Scout group in San Diego. Dr. Wallach now dedicates his time to lecturing on the benefits of Nutrition around the World and works to lobby the US government on behalf of the Supplement Industry, and he is dedicated to making better nutrition available to the public. Dr. Wallach is a member of the California Association of Naturopathic Physicians.

Mr. Richard Renton BS, NATA .: Mr. Richard Renton BS, NATA :.

Richard graduated from Portland State University with quad majors in Sports medicine, Health, Physical Education, and Chemistry. Richard was an Associate Professor at PSU in Health and First Aid, and Assistant Athletic Trainer for PSU, the Portland Timbers Soccer Team, and the Portland Storm Football team. He is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer with the NATA (National Athletic Trainers Association). Richard oversees much of the quality control issues for the Youngevity products and Richard has also achieved the rank of Diamond Executive Leader in his own Youngevity independent business. Richard has been active in the Boys Scouts of America throughout his life and has achieved the prestigious Rank of Eagle Scout, God and Country, Vigil of Order of the Arrow, Scout Master and District Commissioner.

Theo Ratliff .: Theo Curtis Ratliff :.

Theo Ratliff has established himself as one of the NBA's premier shotblockers. After ranking 19th in the NBA in shotblocking in his first two seasons at 1.55 and 1.46 bpg, he climbed to fourth in the league in rejections in 1997-98, swatting away 3.15 shots per game in a season split between Detroit and Philadelphia. He ranked third in the NBA in shotblocking in 1998-99 at 2.98 bpg as the Sixers made the playoffs for the first time in eight seasons, and was fourth at 3.00 bpg in 1999-2000.

The 18th player picked in the 1995 NBA Draft, Ratliff played both forward and center for the Pistons as a rookie and averaged one block for every 11.2 minutes of action. He led the team in blocks for the second year in a row in 1996-97, when he started half of the 76 games he played.

He was the only player to start all 50 games for the Sixers in 1998-99 and led the team in rebounding at 8.1 rpg (20th in the NBA) as well as shotblocking, and was third in scoring at 11.2 ppg. Although he missed 25 games due to a stress fracture of his left ankle, he again led the Sixers in shotblocking in 1999-2000 and was the team's third-leading rebounder and fourth leading scorer.

Dr. Frager is a licensed psychologist and received his degree from the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Frager is an Athletic Consultant to the University of Louisville, University of Kentucky and is a professor as well. Dr. Fragers professional associations include” Fellow, American Board of Medical Psychotherapists, American Psychological Association, American Association of Behavior Therapists, and Dr. Frager is a Scoutmaster achieving the Prestigious Eagle Scout Award as a Boy Scout himself.

 

Gene Nelson .: Gene Nelson :.

Gene Nelson began bodybuilding over 15 years ago as a hobby, and is today known as the “Greatest Natural Bodybuilder in the World.” In 2005, he placed second in one of the toughest Natural Bodybuilding contests in the world, The Musclemania World Championships. After committing to never using steroids, Gene became a Youngevity® endorsed athlete and now attributes much of his success to his consumption of the Youngevity® line of products.

Fred Glass .: Fred Glass :.

Fred Glass has been lifting and competing for 45 years, and in 2007, competed in the APEC World Powerlifting Championship in Chicago in at age 70, where he set four more records in addition to his previous 42. Currently, he is 15-time and current world champion, with a best competition squat of 415 pounds on December 8, 2007. Glass stated that he believed his lifting career would have been over eight years ago without the help of his daily regimen of Youngevity® products.

Phil Oliver .: Phillip J. Oliver :.

Phillip J. Oliver was born in Opelika, Alabama.  He is a graduate of Opelika High School.   He graduated from Gadsden State Junior College with as Associated in Applied Science degree in Mental Health.  While at Gadsden State Phillip played basketball and interned at the Veterans Administrative Hospital in Tuskegee, Alabama where he performed psychological testing and assisted the psychiatric medical staff.  He received his B.S. degree in Social Welfare from the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa, Alabama. While at the University of Alabama, Phillip worked as a lab assistant in genetic research in the Biology Department.

Phillip is part owner of a health company (OKaY Enterprises).  He is employed by the Sickle Cell Foundation of Georgia as a Genetic Counselor.   He has worked in the field of Sickle Cell Disease for 31 years.  He has served in the field of sickle cell disease as an administrative assistant, lab assistant, health educator and social worker. He has lectured in Abuja, Africa at the Leon Sullivan Summit as a guest of Chairman Ambassador Andrew Young.  He hosted a weekly radio show for 2 years called Health Talk. Phillip is a Certified Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist.  He received training in Acupuncture from Lincoln Hospital in the South Bronx’s section of New York City and the Veteran Administrative Hospital Decatur, GA by the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association.  He has done numerous lectures, radio and television talk shows on sickle cell disease and also health.  He worked on research in sickle cell disease with Bio Medical Research Institute.  Phillip serves as a Health Consultant for the World Basketball Association and for many individuals.  He served as assistant basketball coach for Men’s Basketball Clark Atlanta University from 2002-2005.  He is a member of Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA.  Phillip also served as a youth Church School Teacher for twelve years at Ebenezer and is a volunteer for the Mike Glenn Basketball Camp for the Hearing Impaired and Wheelchair Charities, Inc Hank Carter Rehabilitation Center New York, NY.
